Johannes Kepler - Astronomer that went against conventional wisdom

Johannes Kepler was an astronomer, astrologer and a mathematician from Germany, regarded as one of the most influential person of 17th century in scientific revolution.

He was the one who discovered the three major Laws of Planetary Motion, which are as follows:

1. The planets move around the sun in orbits shaped like an ellipse.
2. An imaginary line drawn from the center of the Sun to the center of the planet will sweep out equal areas in equal intervals of time.
3. Time taken by a to go around the Sun is related to the radius of the planet's orbit.

He was the first person to to argue that the Earth orbited around the sun instead of the other way around.

He was really interested in the movement of the planetary bodies for which he needed a better Telescope and invented Kepler's Telescope.
