Shri Manohar Parrikar Ji passes away. May his soul rest in peace

Shri Manohar Parrikar Ji, CM of Goa, passes away. He was a soft spoken and very gentle person. He fought his illness with dignity and a great spirit. He was an IIT Bombay alumni and India's first IIT Graduate to become the chief minister of any Indian state. I had an opportunity to meet him during an event conducted by IITB Alumni Association.

He was always available for general public through his official email ID which he accesses every day and responded to it. During his tenure as CM he continues to be a citizen of the middle class of the state even when he runs it. He led his life in simplicity. He was seen riding a scooter or chatting with a child on the street like any other normal citizen of the state.

The nation has lost a leader of integrity, dedication & commitment. He will continue to be a source of inspiration for us.
